- Interactive Viewer contains data about locations and basic technical characteristics of the base stations in public mobile communication networks and radio (TV) stations in broadcasting service.
-
Interactive Viewer is made for easy browsing and searching and can not be used instead of the HAKOM official copies. Data is provided for information purposes only. Any changing, multiplication and distribution of Interactive Viewer data is prohibited in any form. Published data are relating to the stations for which the conformity certificate is released, respectively that meet the regulations on protection against electromagnetic fields. Due to the treatment process of the received data it is possible that published data do not correspond to the real situation on the ground. For all details please contact us on

- HAKOM, within its jurisdiction under the Law on Electronic Communications leads databases on radio stations. In accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act and taking into account that HAKOM is defined as one of the entities in the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Register of Entities, with the aim of informing the public and transparency of their work, HAKOM publishes data on base stations of public mobile communications and broadcasting (TV) transmitters.
- The radio frequency spectrum is a limited good property of the Croatia and the use of its civilian part is managed by HAKOM. In its application, all permittees are required to comply with certain regulations - with the technical side and for the protection of health.
-
Database of assigned radio frequency spectrum for holders of permits issued can be found at the link
http://www.hakom.hr/default.aspx?id=192.
Specific signal coverage of a particular area can be checked at the individual operator.
-
HAKOM verifies compliance of the radio station with the permitted levels of electromagnetic fields established by the Regulations on the Protection of the electromagnetic fields of the Ministry of Health
(http://narodne-novine.nn.hr/clanci/sluzbeni/2014_12_146_2740.html)
through the calculation and / or measurement. For stations that meet the level of radiation, HAKOM issued a certificate of compliance confirming that the set radio station does not create the level of electromagnetic fields that exceed the permitted values. Issued certificate of conformity is not a requirement for the start of the station.
- A well-planned and effective mobile communications communication network should provide signal coverage and a satisfactory quality of service, in addition to complying the prescribed standards for the health protection. By placing a larger number of base stations, it is possible to cover the area with a smaller radiated power of individual stations, reducing the radiated power of the movable device in direct physical contact with the user. Because of this and in order to meet increased customer needs for the capacity, base stations are also installed in populated areas.
- Mobile devices operate at low power and consequently have a limited range. In order to be able to connect to the base station and to communicate, it is necessary to set up more base stations, depending on the area, which is tiled. The geographical configuration of the terrain and obstacles in the space (buildings, trees ...) are also affecting the very propagation of signals. Also, the larger the number of users, the quality, capacity and range of the base station is reduced.
- Broadcasting (TV) transmitters are intended to achieve coverage of large areas where there are users. Broadcasting uses only one-way communication, from the transmitter to the receiver. For that reason, broadcasting transmitters use high power and are mainly placed in locations outside the city.
